New to Reefland!
Hey everybody! My dad and I have been saltwater reefers for about 8 months now. We have a 46 bowfront tank with 60-some pounds of live rock. Livestock: 1 Eibli mimic tang baby (We are going to get him a bigger tank later) 1 royal gramma, 1 maroon clownfish, 1 false perc clown(Somehow the clowns get along just fine and have been for 6 months now), 1 mandarinfish(Don't flame me! I researched for a month before purchasing and I have a 10 gallon tank in case we need a refugium), 1 sixline wrasse, some blue-leg hermits, 2 scarlet hermits, 1 jade hermit, various snails including turbos, trochus, cerith, and narssarius, 1 green open brain, a colony of vivid green palys, various boring zoos, a branching frogspawn with 2 heads, way too much xenia, around 40 tube worms scattered around, 1 pink/purple carnation that I can't get my dad to get rid of
, over 100 stinking yellow polyps!, 1 huge macro algae thing, some caleurpa(Spelling?), 1 orange sponge, at least 30 green button polyps scattered around, and 3 green ricordea(My favs). I think that's about it. I'll get lots of pics later. |

My pic's dimensions are too big for posting so you'll have to go to the gallery to see them. Oh well.

Hope your mandarin works out, they really need a mature tank with lots of pods. I would think that maybe you should go ahead and set up that fuge. That and he is gonna be competing with the six line for them.
No flame intended, just a word to the wise. ![]() |

Yeah, I started setting it up yesterday. The sixline doesn't seem to be eating all the pods because the mandarin is getting roly poly from eating all of them.

Mandarin Dragonettes are great fish for peoplke who have the means to keep them. Good luck! On your avatar, they are reserved for Contributing Members.
