My daughter got me a MagFloat magnet for father's day and I must say I LOVE it....and im sure my corals will appreciate not haveing a magnet whack them every time i move it around now! I say go with the floating magnet if its a good one....look for MagFloat....they are a bit bulkier but they do a GREAT job at cleaning as well as floating

I have both. All magnets tend to get sand or other hard gunk in the velcro pads from time to time. The Tunze is so strong that my daughter (I was just trying to help, Daddy) scratched the glass of my new tank
The MagFloat doesn't get nearly as much gunk in the pads and isn't nearly so strong as the Tunze. It is best for normal diatoms. I'd be sure and get the biggest magnets, as the magnets aren't as strong as many others. I use the MagFloat for daily cleaning and the Tunze for special chores. Later, James. |
