coral ID

I tried to post this picture before, hopefully this time it works. This coral went about 6 months with no electricity on the tank . If somebody could let me know what it is I would appriciate it . this coral came as a speck on a peice of Live rock I had bought. I also added the other coral in my tank a frogspawn and a torch

It's tough for me to tell exactly, but to me it definately looks like some sort of LPS- probably Euphyllia genus- either divisa or glabrescens (frogspawn and torch), respectively.

Just tell your wife that having a tank teaches you all sorts of new DIY skills...which will save lots of money around the house...so you can buy more stuff for your tank...so you can learn more skills...

Hi bb72,

The coral you are asking to identify( the first image ), is it a hard coral? It looks a bit like a M.digitata to me but the image is quite small and it is simply a guess at this point.

yes it it a hard coral that is the best picture i can get, its only an inch or so in size. its purple in color with white tips

Sorry, bb72- I think I misread your original post. I definately know what those last two pics are of! But not the first... I'd listen to Gene or some of the other older, more experienced guys.
