Well finally after watching and watching I was feeding my Anenama and got the fright of my life 2, 3 0r 4 inch worms? appeared from under a rock . they are a milky/ lt grey in color with lots of what appear to be legs and are maybe 1/4 inch thick very distinct head and darn ugly to look at they just showed up for a minute or 2 but now I know where they live I shall watch for them and if possable get a photo for help with ID

well I just read a heap of stuff on Bristle worms and there is very contricting opinions of them some say they are okay to leave alone others say they eat fish and anenama,s some say they are good scavengers and as long as you are not loosing inhabitants just leave them so now I am really confused, I think for now I shall leave them and just observe their size etc

yes thats true, there are bad bristles and good ones, i'm doin same thing just keeping an eye on things, I know at least one of the ones in my tank is at least 5" long maybe longer never saw it end to end it's that big. I also have two clams in my tank the worms don't seem to bother them they are doing great. so I don't think worms in my tank are a threat, if thats the case then they are benificial.
From what I've read 99.9% are harmless, so don't get to stressed |

That is the correct way to view captive bristleworm populations.
