well I just read a heap of stuff on Bristle worms and there is very contricting opinions of them some say they are okay to leave alone others say they eat fish and anenama,s some say they are good scavengers and as long as you are not loosing inhabitants just leave them so now I am really confused, I think for now I shall leave them and just observe their size etc

yes thats true, there are bad bristles and good ones, i'm doin same thing just keeping an eye on things, I know at least one of the ones in my tank is at least 5" long maybe longer never saw it end to end it's that big. I also have two clams in my tank the worms don't seem to bother them they are doing great. so I don't think worms in my tank are a threat, if thats the case then they are benificial.

From what I've read 99.9% are harmless, so don't get to stressed

That is the correct way to view captive bristleworm populations.

Just tell your wife that having a tank teaches you all sorts of new DIY skills...which will save lots of money around the house...so you can buy more stuff for your tank...so you can learn more skills...
