do i need more live rock?

i currently have a 30gal tank with about 15kgs of live rock.

i have ordered a 50gal tank and am getting a 25gal sump so total system vol will probly be about 60-70gal in the new setup.

my question is if i keep the same inhabitants will i need more live rock?

cheers james

With the same inhabitants? No.
But, let's say somewhere down the line you want to add something to your tank (I know, I know, no one ever wants to add just one more thing). In this (highly unlikely) event, you'll want to get more live rock.
If it were me, I'd get as much as I could afford now, and put it into my system, so the tank will be better able to adapt down the line if you choose to increase your biological filtration's demand by making a (again, highly unlikely) new purchase. You can place it into your sump, if you like the look of the new display tank with the old rock. Just consider a light over your sump if you go that route, if you want coralline algae growth, etc. The bacteria don't need light.

Just tell your wife that having a tank teaches you all sorts of new DIY skills...which will save lots of money around the house...so you can buy more stuff for your tank...so you can learn more skills...
