You may wish to check out REEF AQUARIUM CORALLINE ALGAE PROPAGATION and see if there is anything there that will help you. Good luck.

Have you ever herad of light shock. Some times whene you bring live rock in from the LFS the light's that the LFS use's is not the same putting the coraline in to shock. The temp seem's a little high, we run our tanks at 76,78. One last thing have you tested your calcium it should be at 450ppm. Hope this helps.

If you maintain calcium at 425-450 ppm and alkalinity around 10 dKH, you should have coralline algae whether you like it or not.

What are your calcium readings and what are your alkalinity readings? What calcium do you dose? Are you talking about calcium chloride, a two-component product or something else? I assume whatever you use, you are balancing calcium and alkalinity, right?

,agramilk,
I guess you mean Aragamilk, right? That's not something I would spend my money on.

That's nice but what does it mean? It just tells me that you are pleased with the test results but it conveys no information whatsoever about the actual results or the tests used.

If you added some live rock with coralline algae on it, then you should have lots of coralline all over the place in no time at all. Just keep your calcium and alkalinity levels where they should be. I would put Purple Up in the same category as Aragamilk. Save your money!

I wouldn't use Coral Vital.

Check out this article by Dr. Randy Holmes-Farley on choosing calcium and alkalinity supplementation methods.

Like Ninong says, if your Ca and Alk are proper then the coralline ALWAYS grows, EVERYWHERE! If it is not growing, then something is wrong.
