it be a natural part of the process
I just started my first reef tank (75 gls). I have my ph right and my alkiline right my nitrates are a little high but I was told it was it was normal for a new tank especially with live rock that was shipped to me over a 5 day period so I'm sure the was some dead parts. Anyway the reason I'm posting is I have developed this brown algae all over the substrate and my rock some of it really long like actual seaweed. My crabs are eating it but it grows faster than they can eat it do I need more crabs or is this a natural part of the tank curing process and if so how long deos it usually last. Thanx paul
