Finally my first ever
Finally after 5 months of frustration, 2 cyno outbreaks, unbelievable frustration and almost calling it quits, ya ZERO NITRATES, ZERO NITRITES, but alas not all is well still have 0.05 phosphate, and a small Ammonia reading , but maybe just maybe my tank be heading in the right direction![]() |

Re: Finally my first ever
dobz,
How long was it in between your first and second cyno out break? I think I may be going through a second one right now? Do you know if this is normal?

Re: Finally my first ever
Hi both of my Anenama,s are well, and it was around 3 weeks between cyno out breaks, each time the out break lasted around 10 days, darn ugly stuff I had the very horrible looking green stuff just like a mat over every thing,I added another power head and rearranged my others to try and get more coverage/water movement through as much of the tank as I could.I know some people use a turkey blaster to clean their rocks I have found that just using one of the power heads held in my hand and passed all over the rocks blows all of the die off and stuff off them, I have also in the past 5 weeks changed to NSW and R/O for top ups so I think this is helping as well
