May I get an id if possible
hi all I think I have some coral growing in my tank i have included some pics here , not the best only a cheap digital camera, also a couple of full pics of my tank as it stands today, all the fish were hiding when I took these, you can sort of see the red stuff (coral)in the first 4 pics , if it is could any one id it for me

While trying to ID a coral from a photo is pretty much just a wild guessing game to begin with, I still could not hazard such a guess from the photos provided. If you look on my coral page, I have some very good links that should be of help in learning to ID corals yourself. Sorry I could not be of more help.

In the first 3 pictures it appears to be some type of Favia sp. or perhaps Oulophyllia sp. but in the fourth picture it appears to be an encrusting Porites sp. (I could be looking at the wrong thing).

I was going to hazard a guess when you first posted this thread but the photographs are just not sharp enough. If there is any way you can get an in-focus, close-up, that might help.
