best substrate

Hey what is the best substrate to use? I was thinking about getting that aragonite stuff since its pretty cheap and its supposed to be live sand. Has anyone ever had good experiances with aragonite sand?

Re: best substrate

the best reply is to point you to this very recent thread, which a quick search of "aragonite" will find.

Re: best substrate

The very short answer is: basically everyone w/ a reef tank uses aragonite sand. It is the mainstay, gold standard substrate. Just be sure to get sand, not crushed coral.

Re: best substrate

Why is sand much better than crushed coral?
