What is a good flake food for a reef tank?
I was wondering if there is a good flake food that can be used for a reef tank. I feed my fish with blood warm, mysis shrimp, squid frozen cubes and sheets of algea. The tangs and angels love the food but I just want to make sure they get all the nutrients they need.

I like to use Ocean Nutrition's various flake foods. Formula 1, Formula 2, Prime Reef, etc. are all good foods.

I have always liked any of the OSI flakes, esp. their spirolina. Lately I have been trying Aquadine, which I purchase in bulk, from the local store.

I've been using Omega One Marine Flakes for years and have had good results. HTH.

brian and i are in agreement today - first the coral thread - now this. i also use omega one flakes and have never had a problem with any of my fish accepting them.
i typically use the omega one flakes for breakfast, since they are easier and i am typically in a rush for work, and then various frozen foods for dinner. |

I use all the ocean nutrition food (flake and pellet) and one they go crazy for is Argent Cyclop-eeze wafer. I use all these (not all at once of course) for the afternoon feeding.
And it's great sprinkled on a salad! :slap:![]()
