I highly recommend the Hatching Disk from Brine Shrimp Direct. It's so simple! no heaters or pumps, and there's practically no mess (and no having to separate babies from shells)... it's just the perfect little brine shrimp hatchery. Now, if you want to grow them into adults, you'll need to move the babies to different container. But for just hatching, this disk is the best!

Just tell your wife that having a tank teaches you all sorts of new DIY skills...which will save lots of money around the house...so you can buy more stuff for your tank...so you can learn more skills...
