Mt first live oyster turned up today. Ugly beast, but it adds something else in the absence of corals. The problem is that one of the small blue-legged hermits seems intent on eating it. (The oyster has closed up for the moment, but the hermit has found a small damaged area presumably where the oyster was torn from its mooring.
So is the hermit hungry and is this a problem for the oyster? It's not a big loss either way, but I would prefer to keep them both alive.
I know Poseiden's answer to this in advance () but I'm very fond of me hermits. Anyone?
