hi guys-
does anyone know where i could purchase live rock by the pound? it doesnt need to be ultra quality or anything, but i would like to buy 2-5 pounds with coralline so it could seed my tank.

Hi Meat!

I was able to select live rock from my LFS store for my nanocube, but I'm not sure if the LFS in your area provide this service.

If not, you might check local reefers:http://reefcentral.com/forums/forumd...?s=&forumid=80. Often you will find items for sale from a tank that is being torn down, etc.

Finally, check http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/about/cities.html for your area. I've seen live rock... and everything else for sale there.

but thank you-
there is a pet store about an hour and a half away from here that says they have good lr, but its 8-9 bucks a pound. 1-thats a lot and 2-i dont know when ill be able to make it out there.

There are alot of online vendors that sell LR. Why don't you look thru our sponsors page and try a few of them?
