Can someone ID this little guy for me

I've been searching websites trying to find what kind of Goby this little guy is and I've had no luck. There are lots of close looking ones but so far nothing exact. The LFS where I got him says he just arrived in the order unidentified and he didn't have time to look for his ID so he was simply sold as a Goby.
Anyone have any clue?

I forgo to mention, I got him yesterday and he's in QT. Look healthy, a bit thin but eating well today.
Things you can't see in the pic, he has tiny blue and green dots along his sides. Also as you can see in the pic, a little bit of yellow on the sides of his mouth...

How big is he? If he is larger than a few inches that can eliminate a lot of the smaller gobies.

Perhaps an orange spotted goby(Valencienna strigata)?

This picture looks quite close Vivid Aquariums Tropical Fish Store in Los Angeles - Buy Orangespot Diamond Goby(Valencienna strigata) - Small: 1.5" - 3" and they are a fairly common goby from what I've seen.

I don't think so, there's no orange in this fish at all, the white specs are actually iridescent green and blue, his base color is off white and the large spots are brown. He's 3.25" right now...
I added 2 new pics, the colors are pretty exact except the iridescent spots are a bit more intense than in the pics.

I agree- it's definately not Valencienna strigata. The problem is that gobies have literally hundreds of species. Any idea where, geographically, it came from? fishbase.org has some ID keys, but they are all broken down into parts.

Slightly more than 2,000 different species.

Nope, not at all
I think we'll just have to call him "the Goby"

Re: Can someone ID this little guy for me

Well scratch that, I just got an email from Image Archives of GOBY Life Modes ; Common Name ; Image Index ; Heavy and he thinks he's an Istigobius ornatus, Ornate Goby and from the pics in the link, I would have to agree

Re: Can someone ID this little guy for me

After scouring fishbase.org some more, I'd say it's defeinately an Istigobius something... but definately not Istigobius ornatus. The coloring and patterns are all wrong. I think it's either Istigobius diadema or Istigobius rigilius.

Diadema:

Rigilius

I'm leaning more towards the latter.
