Re: avatar

what scares me is that the idiot who sold/traded him to me might sell him to someone with an even smaller tank

having read this again, I noticed I was being really harsh towards my LFS, I'm not saying he didn't deserve being called and idiot but just acknowledging that I was just as stupid for taking Mr. Ed without checking out Naso info first. I have done my homework on ALL available tangs and now know never to get another because even a yellow tang would be miserable in the long run.

Anyways back to the LFSs everywhere, how can these (most of them anyway) people sell fish to customers without being honest? Isn't this really unethical? Wouldn't it be like signing a death warrant for the fish that are sold to people with the wrong systems/tank size? They just don't care whether the fish lives or dies!

When Mr. Ed goes I'm not sure I'll bring him to an LFS but maybe try to find him a home via online, or he could end up in a 40 gallon tank otherwise.

Just noticed, this is really off topic!

Keep that avatar !
Its the allmighty Dollar that they base their business on ...Ethics went out the door years ago!
We have the same problem at the LFS in our town now when I go there I just get what I want and avoid as much contact with them as possible just so an argument doesnt break out!

I will, even when he's gone, he's a great fish with amazing personality. when he sees me he gets all giddy cuz he thinks he's getting another clip, sometimes I barely have time to stick it to the glass and he's already tearing away at his nori. He's getting bigger by the minute!

Yes, he likes having his picture taken.
Maybe if we all had a lot more nerve and told them off once in a while but I doubt it would accomplish anything! :slap:
