How do you upgrade?
I had a old thread which was called (cycling problems) and I don't think I explained my question very well, so her it goes today. I have a fully stocked 29g tank, I would like to transfer all the fish, rock, equitment and water upstairs in my room where there is a wonderful 55g tank. If I tranfer all of my live rock, and just maybe a save maybe just a cup of cc for each new silica sand bed in each tank, will my 55g tank go through a huge cycle? Will it cycle at all?
thanks all |

When I upgraded from a 75 to a 120 I did not cycle the tank and added the fish as soon as the water somewhat cleared up from the new sand. I did not have any problems or spikes. I believe the live rock helped filter the water, but there was/is a Ecosystem filter on it also.
