Can Aptasia have color bands?

I 've got a poylp growing that looks like aptasia to me but its got small ****e bands on the tentacles and a little white color in the middle of the polyp? They glow a little in the blue spectrum. Even if it is apt how do you ever really get rid of that stuff? Can't cut it low enough, what do I do? There is only one that I see so better act fast.

Sounds like one to me, that often have some white to them. There are natural predators, but the kalk paste solutions seem to work well for killing them.

Long time no see Scott how have you been? What is this kalk solution you speak of? Back in the old days we used to put a glob of aquarium sealant on them? Do you know the name of a product that works well?

Re: Can Aptasia have color bands?

It is just kalkwasser mixed up very think (like a paste). Use a syringe to squirt the little buggers with the kalk paste...problem solved.
