You could open up a large can of worms with this.

Check this out and I believe there are a couple of links there too. If it was me, I don't know if I want to add that to a brand new tank. JMHO.

Happy reading weez, there's alot of info out there about this, take what you want from it.

I think you should wait at least another couple of years before even considering any of those "methods." It's not something you really need to get into at this point in your "hobby career."

Besides, by the time you're ready, there might be some newer craze that is taking the hobby by storm, then you would have even more options to consider besides the Italian method or the German method or the French method. And did anyone tell you yet that these new "methods" are expensive?

I didn't buy it, it was just something being pushed by the LFS....$35.00 a bottle! I was just curious since I have never heard of this stuff....

A much cheaper, safer, and probably much more effective way to give your coral all the animo acids they need is good old fashioned feeding.

That's partially what the thread Charlie posted was about but with a few extras but I've decided against it since I'm already battling nitrates and possibly a small cyano outbreak, I guess it's another water change tomorrow

The people that are using this method also run their Ca, and Mg levels at what seems to me to be rediculously high levels, did you notice that? I found it hard to keep my Ca at 410 when my 300 was an sps tank!!!
    Good luck!!

Yup, I noticed a lot of weird stuff but the fact that most of them stopped does say something...
