Recommendations for Clam in my 7g Nano
Have a 7g Nano with small DSB and prism skimmer - everything is thriving (firefish, cleaner shrimp, xenia, shrooms, hammer).
I want to add a clam but have never kept them. Can you recommend one that will do well? The tank is light by 32W PC and water is changed weekly - no additives needed. Thanks |

I have a 10g with a derasa in it. It grows fast though and unless you get a really small one it will probably crowd out your tank. I'm not sure if you have enough light for a T. Maxima. HTH

i am pretty sure any of the tridacna clams will out grow your tank. in addition if you get a small clam they tend to be more difficult to maintain. they rely much more on filter feeding then light. i would be worried it would exhaust your water column for food.
