Gracilaria (RED)

I am going to be placing an order for 3lbs of this aka "Tang Heaven" for my refugium that is built into my 35gal sump.
I want to use this for 2 reasons:
1. To grow and feed my Yellow Tang
2. To use a "Filter" and "cleanser"

Questions:
Is this a good species of macro-algae to use for #2? I know most people use the caulerpa sp for this
Anyone doing this?
I know this is a low light species, is a 13w PC daylight and a 13w PC actinic enough light?

i have the tang heaven red in three of my tanks .it is a very slow grower and i dont think it would be my first choice a a nutrient exporter.to tell you the truth my tang doesnt even eat the stuff(he likes the green though).if you dont know 3 lbs is ALOT of tang heaven..way more than you need(probably)i would order the 9 for 99 and include all the types of macro you want i made one order like 2 months ago and still have a whole bunch hth

oh and yes it does prefer low light,its doing best in my 110 gallon that has just 2 96 watt actinics and light from the window its next to.

thanks organicreefer, I will try the 9 for 99, that way I can see what grows the best and get more of that species of macro-algae
