Cleaners for my 14 Gallon Nano, How Many should I have?

    Right now I have:
    3 snails
    5-6 hermit crabs
    1 Snail
    1 Peppermint Shrimp
    1 Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp

What I was wondering is if I should look into sand sifting cucumber, starfish, conchs or anything else. How much is too much? And what is something I shouldn't be without?

Two shrimp is more than enough for your 14-gal tank. It might have been better to have two of the same species so that they could pair up instead of having two different species like you have now. The physical size of your tank is about the same as the minimum territory defended in nature by members of the genus Lysmata. If either your L. wurdemanni or L. amboinensis passes away, maybe you should purchase a mate for the surviving shrimp?

Your tank is much too small for any conchs or sand-sifting cucumbers. The same is probably true for just about any of the commonly available sea stars, too. It's true that the physical size of your tank is large enough for one of the smaller sea stars (e.g., Linckia multifora or Fromia elegans) but they probably wouldn't survive very long because their natural nutritional requirements are not likely to be met.
