    bubble coral help

    hi,
i'm in need of advice! i have had a very nice piece of bubble coral for about 2-3 months now and it has been doing awesome! i got two clownfish about 2 weeks ago and my bubble coral was doing great still. Although, the past couple of days it has been acting very strange and won't expand its bubbles. All my other corals are doing great and my two clowns are awesome too. The coral isn't in rough water currents and the water quality is excellent. What is wrong?! PLEASE HELP!

Are the clowns trying to host in it?

That's exactly what I was thinking too. Sometimes people think it's cool when their clowns bond with a bubble coral or an elegance, but it's really not good for the coral...

    Re: bubble coral help

I had a few corals bothered to death by clowns. Now I have a BTA for them to live in. Now I don't recommend everyone go out and get a BTA for your clowns as they can be tricky to care for as well. People might want to think twice about clowns in a tank with anemone like corals....

    Re: bubble coral help

the clowns were going by the coral a few weeks ago but they stopped poking at the coral about a week ago and the coral was doing fine until now so i'm not sure that the clowns were bothering it. there is one thing that i have noticed though, there are several worms that are almost living inside the bubble coral that are green with black stripes. i thought these worms were reef safe but now i'm not so sure. i saw these same worms on other parts of my live rock and thought they were safe. can you identify these worms or do you need a picture of them?
