Is something wrong?

Just a couple days ago, my devil's hand leather looked like this, kind of brown color. Today it is almost green and shrunken some. I checked all the water parameters and everything is OK, calcium is a little high but not much. The only change in the last day or two was the SG had been around 1.022 and I raised it up to 1.025. Have I messed up? The kenya tree is also very closed. All other corals are normal looking.

How fast did you raise the SG up?

Re: Is something wrong?

I thought I was raising it up pretty slow. Mixing some salt with a cup of water from the tank and adding a little in at a time.

However, one more thing just came to mind. My other leather, a toadstool, turned this color before I even raised it and now it has some stringy stuff comig off of it. Could that be shedding? Perhaps this one is starting to do it also. Not sure.

Re: Is something wrong?

Sound like something maybe attacking it or something agitating it. Maybe Aptasia or crabs, maybe fish, other corals touching it?

Yea, it is shedding, they then come back bigger and fuller.
