    Book recommendations?

I am restarting a 46 gallon bow front tank that currently has water in it with an sg of 1.025, temp 0f 80-81, an Eheim canister filter (which someone recently told me is not really used anymore?), a cpr aquatic dual bak-pak with BioBale and no life.

I have read the 'New Marine Aquarium' and 'The Conscientious Marine Aquarist' and have really enjoyed the books. They are a bit dated though and I see everyone is using a sump and/or refugium now. I would like to get into reef-keeping, but want to go slow. Are there any good books that you would recommend that I read?

    Regards,
    Nikk

I really enjoyed "The Modern Coral Reef Aquarium" by Fossa and Nielsen. It's a 4 book set, though, not a single volume. It's a tad technical but very informative.
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

The author of that book, Robert Fenner, has a free website that contains a lot of information you might find helpful.

Aquarium Corals by Eric Borneman is a good book.

Clownfishes by Joyce Wilkerson is a good book for anyone interested in clownfishes and their host sea anemones.

Anemone Fishes and Their Host Sea Anemones by Daphne Fautin is a good source for information on clownfishes and sea anemones. It doesn't contain husbandry or breeding information like Joyce Wilkerson's book but it does have one nice feature -- it's FREE!

Thank you very much for the recommendations! The Fenner web-site looks like it will consume many hours of my time and being an engineer I may really enjoy the 4 book set :-)
