Hi reef75
You will find that skimmers are a matter of opinion but a very popular design is the needlewheel skimmer and there are a few of them out there. I like Geo's skimmers they can be found @ geosreef.com, or you can go with an ASM model something like a ASM-1 or ASM-2 would work good probably for your tank. Also there are Euroreefs too if you can afford the cashola.

I dont think that a bigger skimmer will help withe the red algea. What size skimmer do you have now?How many fish?
Only three fish a tang, angel and a blue dansel. My protein skimmer is a pro clear. What is you suggestion on water changes.
ASM for the money or EuroReef for the quality hands down. Both will do the job.
I have two of the asm models and like them although the newer G4 is more cheaply made than the older G3. The Euro Reef 8-2 runs my 75 gallon reef and I wouldn't have it any other way.
