I have a 75 gallon reef tank and was wondering about phosphate reactors. Some people say they are good other say that it is not a good thing for a reef tank. Does anyone have any suggestions.![]()

What type of tank are operating. Is it a reef and what size. Also what type of reactor are you using.
Thanks

I have the 2 little fishies brand on my 265 which is far undersized but my phosphates ARE at zero according to salifert tests and have been since introducing the reactor
My tank is a 90 gallon reef...mainly SPS. I am using the ViaAqua PR20/20 and running RowaPhos in it. I can see a big difference already. MY RO unit broke and was having to use tapwater unfortunately and had a major algae outbreak. In the few days I have been using the reactor the algae seems to be "melting" away. I probably should have used more RowaPhos than I did but I wanted to see how it would go before investing in a lot of RowaPhos...the stuff ain't cheap.
You can see my two reactors in my sig below. I have zero phophates in the system and still zero output from the reactor.
