Fuge Id?

Well I've noticed some interesting growth in my fuge over about the past 6 weeks. These small mushroom looking polyps on the walls. They grow just like a mushroom on a tree and have a hard exterior. I cant find a picture of anything close, or get one thats even worth posting with my camera. They are about dime sized and deep red color. Any suggestions on where to look to id such a creature would be helpfull. There was a small one about six weeks ago now there are a couple dozen.

when you say hard exterior, are you referring to a skeleton? Man its hard to say w/out seeing a good picture of it

The growth it self is soft, but has a kinda koraline (sp) exterior. Im trying to find a better camera and get a picture. Thanks for the reply I'll keep working on the pic.
