    flow

My 265 g tank is 7' long and I have a dead spot front center of the tank. I get diatome that settle there and nowhere else. I have a spraybar and 4 Koralis 4's. I need something that will create more flow in that area. If I aim the Koralia down there at all it blows all the sand away.
I've seen the waveysea and other things mounted in the front center of a few tanks but really don't want to front mount anything.
Any ideas on how to get flow in this area? Maybe I could find something that would put out a straight stream at lease 4' long and end mount it?????

Here's a shot of how my rock work looks in that area. I have since moved that back right Koralia down about 1 foot and it has helped a bit

You could try one of the new Ecotech vortech drives- or a big Tunze pump, or a closed loop with a lot of loc-line...

    Re: flow

You can mod the koralia's with a maxi-jet 1200 magnet and an octura 1440 impeller. They are seeing easily twice the original output of the koralia. It also only pulls 15 watts with the mod, 5 less than a modded MJ.

But if you have money the vortech is where it is at.

thank you - it's definately a work in progress!! I upgraded from a 55g to this 265g 7' long tank. WOW, you've made me feel soooo inadequate. Your tank looks AWESOME. My little 65 gallon is no longer sufficient. To hell with the master bedroom suite addition, I'm spending this years bonus on a big tank like that.
