My local Wal-Mart is selling Mrs. Wages for $2.00/16 oz canister!

I was at the Hammond, Louisiana Wal-Mart today and noticed that they have Mrs. Wages Pickling Lime in stock again. It was next to the Ball's glass canning jars in the canning section.

They had about 24 of the 16 oz canisters on the shelf: Was $2.64, now $2.00.

It appears to be seasonal. They stock it in the late summer and then it's usually gone by the end of the year.

Yup....its seasonal! Not in florida though You can pretty much find it all year around in florida. Up here in Ks. it was not even in 2 walmarts that I went to....ended up finding it in a small mom&pop grocery store. Ended up paying almost $4 for a 16oz the other day Ninong! was like 3.84 I think

When I bought some five years ago, it was only $1.85 at the Mrs. Wages website. It's now $3.85 there, plus shipping. I ordered ten bags and paid only $1.85/bag plus about five bucks shipping but that was in early 2003. At that time it was only $1.59 at Wal-Mart but they were out of it, so I had to order it online.

It's amazing how much the Mrs. Wages website jacked up the price after they switched the packaging from bags to canisters.

$2.50 here in Ar but being such a back woods state people tend to use it more and I haven't ever had a problem finding it.
