The custome made Fuge was the kicker...a 54 gallon corner stand doesnt leave much after a 10 gallon sump lol

Re: Followed Drlowz..Just a few pics

Darn nice setup Russ. I like it.

I'm hoping to get lucky with my aquascaping like you did. Very nice. I'll have to get some pointers from you when I start mine.

Did you just take several rocks and stack them and glue them together or is it only like 2 huge rocks and you got lucky that they fit together? LOL

Re: Followed Drlowz..Just a few pics

Theres about 8-10 rocks...no glue, no drilling..I find the close your eyes and put in water method works best lol...

j/k...I work very hard to keep water clean, topping off, fish happy...I really am new to all this (7/07) The one thing that does come easy for me is the aquascaping...Its weird, I can look at something and see how it all goes together. I have bonsai trees and training and pruning just come naturally...It's probably the only gift I have because getting nitrates to nil is not one of them lol

It really only tookabout 15 minutes to scape it...lucky for sure and No I didnt pick out my rock lol

Re: Followed Drlowz..Just a few pics

I reallllly need to get out and get a coral book (like the fish book I have), so when you guys say these names of the corals, I know what the heck you're talkin' about!

All I see in the pictures are some pretty cool colored corals that Yankee has....yup, that's about all I know at the moment.

Caulastrea: Also Known as Trumpet, Cat's Eye or Candy Cane Coral

Are you confused enough now to make things even worse...you will see some corals called the same as a totally different coral. Clear high resolution pictures are the best. Try "corals" by Eric Borneman

Your candy cane is
2nd picture in the middle of the pic this appears to be smaller polyped candy cane

5th picture in the lower l. crnr (you can only see a little of it) of the pic this appears to be the larger polyped candy cane that I would like to see a close up picture of, its just to the left of what appears to be a bright red mushroom

Re: Followed Drlowz..Just a few pics

Thanks Rocky, I appreciate the info.

It doesn't look anything like a candy cane to me, but then again, I just might be LOL

I'll have to look up the book you suggested.
