Brian,
That video ROCKS! Fu Manchus are my FAVORITE lionfish. I had one when I first started keeping salt water fish. The sound track is EXCELLENT! What are you feeding him -- ghost shrimp? (my monitor here at work is kind of crummy) How big is the tank and who are his buddies? I thought I saw a heniochus at the end, but I wasn't sure.

Hey Diva-
Yeah Fu Manchus are sweet.... they're super fun to watch when they eat.
Yep! those are ghost shrimp... or I should say they WERE ghost shrimp!Originally Posted by almostdiva
The tank is a 180 gallon with a 75 gallon refugium. We've only had it set up for less than a year now, so we're still in the process of populating it. Right now we just have the Fu Manchu, a bi-color foxface, 2 yellow tangs, 1 blue tang, a bi-color blenny, tomato clown, and a couple damsels left over from cycling the tank (we couldn't catch them all to get them out). So far we've only lost 1 yellow tang which I think was sick when we bought him, and that's why we have 2 yellow tangs which is otherwise considered a no-no but they get along fine.Originally Posted by almostdiva
Anyway, we're planning on adding several more fish over the next year or so, but the Fu Manchu is definitely my favorite so far!

I love the dramatic music.....Do you think you could edit a video of my snake eating?![]()

Very cool video and nicely done! That damsel at the end looks like an older neon velvet damsel. They loose their bright juvenile colors as they age. I have one left over from cycling my tank 8 years ago. It's the meanest fish in the tank.
If anyone asks "Why did you name him Snapper?" ... I reply, "Put your hand in there and find out!" :-)
Again, very cool video!
Heh I'm glad you guys liked it! although I can't take credit for the idea. My buddies Jamie and Tim did all the shooting and editing... talented and crazy guys.

The Damsel in Mat's signature icon, is the same "standoff" damsel in the video but with it's bright juvenile coloring.
Brian,
Take it from me, in time (and it shouldn't take him too long..) Fu will take care of your damsels. The will be there during the day, and the next morning... you will find 1 gone. How big is your tomato clown? How big is your blenny? They might also become a meal (anything about the same size as Fu's mouth is FAIR GAME). Even in such a nice big tank. Lions are OUTSTANDING hunters, esp. at night wtih all the lights off!
I agree... the "standoff" was hilarious!![]()
Ruuuun little shrimp....RUUUUUNNNNN!!!!!!!!!
It's still darn funny...I had to watch it again...classic!!!!!![]()
