I have a very large devils finger coral..please help!!!

how do i go about cutting it back without messing it up and what do i need.. i.e coral glue.. e.t.c ... i really am petrified to mess around with it as it is stunning but very large and very expensive i think it cost me around £65 and is my pride and joy in my tank.... also it's polyps at its tips aren't quite opening but it's branches are fully extending ??? could it be lighting?? i am running 1 x T5 lighting and 1x marine white and 1 x blue actinic's.. do i need more in a 300 litre tank???

If anyone has any experience with these please could they give me a hint or anything???

When you frag a leather its best to do it outside of the tank if at all possible. Either take the coral or the rock the coral is on and put in a bucket or bowl w/some of your tank water in the bowl/bucket (add a few drops of iodine, this helps the healing of the cut) and carefully w/a razor cut over the bowl the frag(s) you want cut off then put the frag and mother colony back into the bowl for atleast 10 minutes to absorb some of the iodine in the water then take frag and colony out of bowl/bucket and put back into the tank. You can rubber band the frag (very light restriction) to a piece of rubble rock if you want the frag to slowly grow onto the rock. Its pretty useless IMO to try to glue a leather to rock!
