Please I.D and give info
I have a big zoo colony and lately it's thinned out. Last night I was looking in my tank and seen 7 asterina starfish ( I THINK ) on my zoos. My question is are these stars reef safe, are they eating my zoos and should I take them out of my tank? I took the 7 I found on my zoos out last night. I cant figure out how to upload pictures but I'm sure these stars are asterina stars .

Re: Please I.D and give info
i read a while ago that asternia stars eat corals, not sure which type. i removed all 16 out of my tank promptly.
after that i asked about it on these forums and hear that they can be safe. weather they eat corals for sure i dont know, but at worst they reproduce too much and imo are a tad unsightly. |
