    Cool.

Makes me want to finish up all my plumbing and get my show tank going again.

I like the use of the overhangs in your rock.
    Play well

That looks great! Talk about clean I wish my tank looked half that clean. Out of curiosity why no background on the tank? Or can you view from both sides?

Thanks for the kind words. I actually did most of the aquascaping while the water was clouded. I set the caves the folowing day.

You can view the tank from outside through our sliding glass door. So we decided to have it with no backing. Only problem will be getting back there to clean.

It has also proved dificult to photograph with the 400w iwasakis and the tank blocking the largest window in the place. I haven't been able to get a good picture of the stand and canopy yet.

Oh, it is clean because it has only been up for a week and a half. All I have done is scrub the diatoms off the glass thus far for maintenance. I just cleaned the glass before the pictures, so the water clouded some too.

The tank vitals are available on my web page.

Nice Aquascape I wil have pics of mine next week. Is that a harleqiun tusk? Have you had any problems with him in a reef?

I was wondering when someone would notice the tusk. I was going to wait for a larger tank, but decided to try him out since he was a great price. He likes shrimp, so far the hermits and snails are not a problem.

For now this will be a fairly aggressive reef. We have the tusk, a Majestic angel, and a pigmy flame to stir things up. We can't keep small firefish or gobies with these guys, but IMO it is worth it to be able to keep the larger fish in our reef. We had to put our cleaner shrimps in another tank in order to not become tusk snacks.

Here is a break down on the tank:

    Fish:
    • Harlequin Tusk
    • Majestic Angel
    • Flame Angel
    • 2 Algae blennies
    • Ocelleris clown
    • 2 saddleback clowns
    • spotted watchman gobie

    Lights:
    • 2 x 400w Iwasaki
    • 2 x 140w VHO actinic
    • 1 x 140w VHO 10,000K

    Equipment:
    • Dolphin 3600 for circulation and skimmer
    • Rio 1700 behind rocks
    • EV 150 skimmer
    • AMI PH Controller
    • Geo reactor
    • Several fans for cooling (would like a chiller, but $$)
    • 5"+ DSB
    • 150-180lb of LR

More pics on the web page, but be warned it is under construction and a bit messy right now.

    Very nice looking tank

I can't take credit for my aaquascaping as it took my wife about 5 hrs to do. Lots of caves.

Starphire, nope. It is a slightily modified Oceanic tank. Just a couple of larger holes and one through the center brace.

Nice 180!! I am in the process of setting my 180 up right now.
I was wondering though, why risk it with the RIO? I think I would have to pick up a MJ or something before I stuck a RIO in anything but the closet after everything that's been said and peoples terrible experiences with them. Besides that though, I really like the aquascaping and you Livestock choices are cool, I am going to pull my two cleaners in exchange for a flamehawk I think. I like aggressive fish more anyways, they keep the tank alive IMO. That place Reefers reportedly had a huge Tusk read HUGE, wish I had gotten up there to see it. Best of luck with the 180, it's real nice.
