Expensive Lunch for 6-Line Wrasse?

I got a delivery of 50 Nassarius and 50 Cerith snails yesterday. Man, those N-snails are cool:fast and zoomed straight for the food on the bottom.

Right after I put them in, however, my 6-line went straight for them. I quickly turned off all lights for the night to give the snails time to bury.

I'm almost afraid to go and look this am. Anybody keep this combo with success?

most wrasses are very very hard on clean up crews such as snails or hermits.

I have had a six line wrasse in my reef for over a year now and hasnt bothered any of my snail or hermits (even though I am removing my hermits next week) other than small snails which is why I got him to help protect my clams.

Thanks for the replies.

As an update: I had quite a few empty shells in the am. Mr. 6-line now seems to content in just swooping down to look. Hopefully I'll be abe to keep a few.
