I have been negligent in cleaning the glass on my 65 g reef and have a lot of coralline algae. Is there any product or specific species of snail that would help? Or will I have to just scrape? thanks.

WOW...most ppl love coralline algae on the back and sides of their glass......I think there are a few things that eat it but off the sides of glass will be a hard issue to address. I will give you a few bux if you put it in a small baggie w/some tank water and ship it to me in S.Florida.....I of course will pay for shipping to
let me know

My turbos have never eaten coraline off the glass. Use the Kent Pro Scrapper with the stainless steel blade, works great!

I know that coraline algae was desirable, but it doesn't look right on the glass. I bought some coraline algae frags from IPSF last year and now all the rocks are a rich maroon color. I've tried scrappers in the past, but they have hard rubber blades. I will try the Kent scrapper with a stainless steel blade and let everyone know how it worked out. Thanks.

Use of a old credit card works well also. Just scrap and then keep up with it more and it wont be an issue.

I bought another Kent Scraper with a hard plastic/rubber blade. It worked perfectly. I will now do regular maintenance so this won't be a problem. Thanks

Don't waste money on any fancy scappers. I have found that the $1.99 cheapo razor blade scapper that I bought at my local hardware store works best. Just be careful to keep the blade angled and throw the blade away when you are done.

Turbos won't eat corraline algae. If you don't want to scrape it off then the only critter I know that will do it for you is an urchin. I have a tuxedo urchin and it's fun to watch him scrape the corraline off the glass with those jaws. They will eat corraline off any surface (mostly your rock) but it regrows quickly and you get the added benefit of the urchin removing any microalgae that happens to be growing on top of what it's really after.
