Attaching Corals?

Doing some searching on here to find the best methods of attaching corals to live rock yielded some interesting methods.

So far super glue seems to be a good method for most applications, but I also read about doing the toothpick or sewing methods (soft corals).

What is the current census about attaching corals? Super glue for LPS & SPS and toothpick for softies? Let me know your method(s)!

Thanks

Being mostly an sps guy, I use alot of "IC gel". I have used everything you mentioned, plus I have also used rubberbands for softies
With mushrooms and zoanthids, sometimes I just use a pile of rubble rock, either one seems to attach within a week, then I am good to go. HTH

Re: Attaching Corals?

like Charlie said superglue is great for SPS and even LPS. The toothpick method is kinda outdated though, it really depends on the coral and what you want to attach it to and your available resources.....You kind of gotta improvise sometimes, especially with soft corals.....SPS are harder to care for but softies are definately harder to frag IMO....I LOVE the restriction method w/out any toothpicks
