I need advice BADLY!
I got my new Zoa frags and over the weekend seen them dwindling in numbers, I found my Nass. snail munching away on them last night and he's devoured close to 2 whole colonies in 3 days now.
A tank divider won't stop it, so is there any other way to keep them safe w/o removing my best algea eater?

Re: I need advice BADLY!
Are they on the substrate? Can you move them up and see if the snail continues to munch?
I agree with Mike, it doesn't sound like a Nassarius snail!!! |

Re: I need advice BADLY!
I have 1 Nass. and 2 turbo's, that's all nothing more nothing less. The smallest of the 3 is my Nass. and that's the one I caught on the coral, and the one I caught up on the rocks inching his way towards them.
No, they aren't on substrate. They were up on the rocks, and they topple down when the snails finds them. I know it doesn't sound like the snail which is something I found strange as well. However there are no nudi's, no irritants, no spiders, etc... I examined with magnifing glasses when I got them and also before I pointed the finger at the snail. Oh and no, I don't have a sundial snail unless this one is calling home a Nass. shell

Now last I knew POD's were basically a scavanger that eat the dead and decaying stuff in our tanks, so seeing this was rather amazing. Some of the heads look like they want to open, but I'm asuming they are being stressed by the pod's and the snail didn't help either. So 5 colonies of RDE's, red's yellow's and blue's turned into a $65 POD all you can eat buffet. They better be full because if they go after the toadstool's I have on the way I won't be very happy. In the end I'm guessing it's safe to asume the coral didn't survive shipping. The box got too warm and was probably banged arround too much by USPS. Here is a picture of a POD ripping a head out. (POD is right above the red line)
