I just got the lights for my five gallon(see my thread in the Lighting Forum) and I noticed a strange sight on the side of the tank. Aiptasia!!
Now, normally this would not be a big deal. I've had them before. However, that was in an established tank. This tank has been set up for two weeks and has nothing but live sand and caulerpa. I did add a couple of pieces of live rock rubble from my 10 gallon's sump, but that was only a few days ago. This aiptasis was the size of a pencil eraser. I quickly doused it with concentrated kalk. OK, now in the 1700's, a scientist proved that spontanious creation was not possible with the fly experiment. At that time, people believed that flys came from rotting meat. He disproved this. However, I am begining to have my doubts... ![]() Mark
