    Berlin method filtration

Ok so berlin consists of dsb, 1-2 lbs of live rock per gal., strong lighting, aeration, and protein skimming. my question is... what is used to remove all the debris and gunk in the tank. Siphoning during water changes doesnt work for me because of dead spots in the tank i can't reach to because it's too tight. Thank you. oh and i don't have sumps. my tank is only 17 gal.

To get rid of the debris and other solid junk try increasing flow inside it. And, during the water change try blowing off your live rock with either a small power head or turkey baster. I actually do this about once a week. To keep your sand bed clean you need necessary critters that would perform cleaning action for you (bristle worms that everyone hates are excellent at this).
Being that your tank is only 17 gallons I can;t recommend any other animals that would do that.
    Kind regards,

    Gene.
