    Is This Too Much?

    I got ten pounds of live rock for my 5.5G reef tank I wanted to do. Im thinking it was a bit too much. I asked for 2 pieces, one larger than the other, and now I'm thinking I should of asked for 3 or 4 pieces. What do you think? I guess live and learn. Can any of you be reassuring? I have already spotted some good amount of life.

    My Intentions Here: Live Rock: Help Finding

    I think my excitement may have gotten to me.

    Usually the rule of thumb is 2 pounds per gallon.

    The rocl looks good IMO. I like the cave for the fish to swim through.

    looks good. give it time to cure and monitor your amonia and nitrite levels. do water changes to keep them down. i'm not sure how many weeks this will take as i bought cured LR.
    what light have you decided on? what type of corals?
    let the adventure begin

    I think it looks good but I like a more open structure.

    I kind of like a more open structure as well, but I guess I will make do. The experience should still be exciting and educational.
    I'm gonna let the LR go free and see what prevails through the die off.

    The lighting was another question I wanted to ask about. Currently I have two 10watt 50/50 Coralife compact fluorescent light bulbs.

    They seem to be pretty bright. But do you think this will be enough?

    seems too congested to me IMO... why not pull the LR out and break with hammer and therefore you have a few small pieces to make a new design?
