    Who likes crab legs?

So recently I have had a few strange things going on. I did a water change last weekend, and my sally lightfoot crab was scared out into the open, and i noticed it was missing two legs on its left side. Stange I thought. Well I had a chocolate chip starfish who always moved around, ate very well, never went behind the rocks. One day it went missing, behind the rocks. I gave it about a week, then decided to move a rock, there it was... well about half of it.

Today I noticed some algae starting to build up, so I went out and bought two emerald crabs. An hour later one of them was missing 4 legs!!

Here is what my livestock looks like:
-Volitan Lionfish(never goes behind the rocks)
    -Yellow headed sleeper goby
    -Valentini Puffer
    -Firefish
-(used to be) chocolate chip starfish
    -Sally Lightfoot crab
    -Brittle starfish
    -scooter blenny
-One and a half emerald crabs
    -Coral Banded Shrimp
    -Peppermint cleaner shrimp
-2 zebra striped tiny hermit crabs(used to have like 8)
    -2 Turbo Snails

Now i'm leaning toward the brittle star, every time i find someone dead, hes caught around the corpse. Is it just coincidence?

    Help!!

Can you be more specific when you say "brittle star?" That covers an awful lot of territory.

How large is it? It isn't by any chance the Atlantic green brittle star (Ophiarachna incrassata) is it?

In any case, most brittle stars are opportunistic omnivores that will eat just about anything once they are hungry enough and big enough to get the job done.

Yes it is that exact one. I suppose I should get it out of my tank before it eats something more expensive than my $4 crab...

Ophiarachna incrassata is notorious for trapping and eating small fish, among other things you paid good money for.
