New Tank : Looking 4 opinions

I'm starting a 55 gal and im trying 2 decide which would be better substrate sand or crushed coral. any thoughts?

Personally, out of the 2, I would do sand, about 4" of Aragamax. Or, you could go Bare bottom. Is this your first setup?

no i've had a 30 gal going close 2 a year now. with crushed coral substrate. i was really just wondering about how good using all sand was.

Like I said, I would use sand, the crushed coral has a bad habit of becoming a nitrate factory in a reef.

I would go with crushed coral if you have high flow. I had major headaches with sand storms with even the thicker sand.

Another vote for sand, the crushed coral is a bad decision.

thanks I'd rather have sand instead of crushed coral anyway
