If you want better growth from the Caulerpa brachypus, increase your lighting and switch it to 16 hrs on and 8 hrs off. It would be best if the lighting in your refugium comes on just as the primary lighting in the main display tank is going off.
I have both Caulerpa brachypus and Cheatomorpha Algae in my refugium. The cheato has always grown well or at least stayed the same size, however the caulerpa seems to slowely die off ever 3-4 months and has to be replenished. I see some tanks with it overflowing with growth. Is there something that needs to change. I have two 13w FC's over it that are on 24/7. The flow maybe a little high, my sump circs around 200gph but it does seem to uproot anything. Is this normal or should my growth be more?
Thanks
Dan

Thanks for the reply! Thought I was all alone on here.
I did go ahead and switch my lighting to be opposite my tank just a few days ago. I had heard discussions for 24h. and for opposite hr. lighting but have never tried anything different. Will let you know how things turn out.![]()
