Thumbs down Bubble in trouble?

What was it, 3 days ago that I post a pic of my beautiful bubble coral. I jinxed myself. Either that or it doesn't like me snapping pictures of it. For the last two days, one of the two has looked awful. I ran the full range of tests yesterday, and my water params seem good to me.

They are as follows:

Temp: 80.5 SG: 1.0245 NH3, NO2, NO3: 0 PO4: 0.2 Ca: 400
Alk: 8 (Little low, I think) pH: 8.2

So this is what the bubble looks like now: Receded and discolored.

Just posted over at RC to see if Eric can help me out.

Also, just did a water change to see if that helps my little guy out at all...

Hi - I actually replied to this over in Eric's forum also. Are you feeding this coral? It'll take meaty foods and they usually aren't too picky about it. I feed mine small chunks of squid and krill. I also sometimes use fresh shrimp from the seafood counter at the grocery store. You might try feeding it everyday until it recovers. hth

ravenmore,

I'm feeding once or twice a week a silverside or piece of squid (alternating between the two). I'll increase the feeding schedule for now and see if that helps. Eric also suggested moving the coral elsewhere in the tank, so I'll try that too along with a couple of water changes over the next week.

You mentioned you feed yours krill and squid, is any one food better than an other for this coral? Should I eliminate the silversides and run out and buy some krill instead?

it's really just a matter of figuring out what they like. Mine didn't like silversides all that much. They LOVE the krill though. I've been feeding them daily as they were in bad shape when I got 'em. The store sold me both of 'em for $10 because they thought they were gonners. They're coming around nicely now....

It's presently in a low-medium flow area. No direct current from PHs whatsoever. The bubbles gently rock back and forth throughout the day, they are never pushed in one direction by current. Does that make sense?
