Is it a good idea to aim powerheads directly towards these corals? Or should I provide indirect currents? The powerhead isn't that close....it's not like it's blowing them off the rock. Thanks!

I totally disagree. The more the better. It is vertually impossible for you to have too much water flow for SPS.

everyone know that corals love different flows.. take a table top acropora, requires lots of flow.. while a run of the ill acro just needs soe ovement in the tank...ive got 16 types of acros and or stonies and the only on that gets ore or less any direct flow is the table. the rest just love movement. direct or indirect. im sure two powerheads and the return or pump will work just fine.

Toadally, I would just make sure that the power head isn't directly blowing right at any of the acropora. You can blow the tissue right off the skeleton. I too have many differying spp. and current requirements and each seems to be getting what it needs. I have the return pump, a T-4 titanium, and 4 maxi-jet 1200's and a rio 2500. Lots of current and counter current too from a Natural wavemaker strip and thats what keeps these sps happy.
