    Clownfish in Charge

2 clownfish in 20g QT. The one that just recovered (from Lymph I think) is bossing the other clownfish around ever since his health improved.

Every 15 seconds or less he will charge at the other clownfish stopping at the last moment causing the other fish to flinch away. Should I seperate them? They appear to be fine for short periods swimming side by side but a majority of the time the boss takes charge.

Will he act better once they have more room in the main reef tank?

They are going through the process of "pairing up"(rough courtship, if you ask me ). Are they equal in size or one is larger?

PS. The dominant one will win the right to be a female and lay eggs, and will be much larger in size than the male.
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

Same size. About the only difference is that the bully is a paler orange. The bully had lost almost all it's color a week ago.

Kinda cool if that's what it is... Guess I have more reading to do. lol

    Re: Clownfish in Charge

Sounds like a typical married couple. I have a pair of false percs and the female is constantly knocking the male around. He just keeps coming back a taking it (like us all) I have had them for almost 5 years and they are doing fine.
