    Re: Confused

Is it a rose bubble-tip anemone (Entacmaea quadricolor)?

Yes I think it is the rose bubble tip anemone but what you think about the testing?

Yes, you should be testing your water. That's sort of a necessary part of the hobby.

Read this article on how to take care of your anemone.

No im asking when to test it right now. Before I do my waterchange, right after watcher change, or like a week after water change?

Test your water on a regular schedule or whenever you think there is a reason to test it.

You might want to test it just before a water change. If your test results showed a problem, then maybe you should test it again a day after the water change to see how much the water change helped.

    Re: Confused

got a 55 gallon tank and i set it all up with store bought water and salt and everything was good i took a water sample in to get tested everything was good and they said i was ready to put in some fish so i got 6 damsels to cycle the tank 2 domino black 4 striped and 2 yellow tails. is it alright to add a penquin to help the current or using a canister filter enough for a good current. the canister it for up to 55 gallon tanks. also should i use one of those air filter guys to add bubble to the tank? i tried to test the water with the hydrometer and this morning the reading was good and all of a sudden the reading jumped up on me. is this due to adding the peguin ad the air filtration into the tank? please help do not want to kill the fish. any help is greatly appriciated

Can you take a pic of the anenome and link it? Other then color what does it look like? Most anenome's won't fit in your tank. Did you ask the LFS about how big it grows? You'll likely need to take it back.

Maybe call the store and ask them what type it was.

Glad you picked up test kits.

I usually test my water before making a water change. That way if I need to add any additives I can mix it with the new water.
