WHich Skimmer would you recommend

Am going to build a sump for a tank which will be apr 175 gallon. Which skimmer would you reccomend

First choice: Royal-Exclusiv (Vertex) Alpha 250 Cone Skimmer

Second choice: See above.

J&L Aquatics in Canada carries Bubble King skimmers. You might ask them if they are able to get this brand new model, and, if so, how much they're going to charge for them.

Premium Aquatics has an exclusive introductory price of only US$999.95 but I'm not sure if they will ship to Canada or not. You would have to ask them.

That is an extremely nice skimmer and the included Red Dragon pump draws only 38 watts!

I like the MSX skimmers as well. I currently have an MSX 2S cone, and this thing pulls MAJOR skimmate, at just a little over 40W total draw.

Thanks for the feedback. Im going to have to limit myself to about the four hundred dollar range. Sorry, guess I should have indicated that earlier. Ive been looking at the Octopus recirculating skimmers. Any thoughts?

Wel I took the plunge today. Opted for the Octopus Extreme 200. Read some great reviews on it and it was in my price range. Will let you know how it works out. Again. Thanks for the input
